We know about schools in Achinsk and in other towns. It is interesting to know about the schools and their traditions and rules, that's why we decide to tell you some things about my school .You know that in Russia schools have numbers not names. Well, we go to school №17. It is very big. Pupils from 7 to 17 years old go to our school. We have 32 classrooms and a very big gym in the first floor. In our school there are 3 floors. The third floor belongs to the first, second and the third forms. The other part of all building belongs to older students.
    On the first floor the big canteen is situated. It is the place where we can eat very tasty food and we can talk and relax. Our classrooms are comfortable and always clean. there are three big windows in classrooms. The large blackboards and bookcases with many interesting books are situated in all rooms. Outside the building we enjoy our small park with Russian birches and poplars, where we can ski in winter. We have a nice sport ground which is always busy with our boys. We have got a big football's and basketball's grounds and in winter we have got a skating-rink near our school. In our school teaches take care about pupils health. Our school is based on special English education, we have English every day. In our school many good and experienced teachers work. That's why pupils of our school know English well, and some students have got advanced level. Our teachers realize that English is an international language. It is the language of business and sport and computers, trade, broad-casting and aviation. Our teachers want us to be successful. English clubs help us speak good English: they are English and America literature, business English, the history of foreign literature.
    Our school is co-operated with the English camp in Novosibirsk, where children can train English ,and with school in suburbs of Moscow. Pupils from our school have a chance to take part in country English contest and have a chance to live and study in America for 1 year.

In our school the teaching of the English language began in 1986-87. Nowadays, it’s very popular. English – is international language (computer education; speaking; almost virtual speaking is in English). Some of our graduates study in New-York. Our infants, which enter higher educational institute from foreign language classes for second course. We have many diplomas and documents from competitions, from an over – Russia. Also we take part in international competitions and olympiads. We have close connection with journal «Gifted Kids» («Одаренные дети»), which give us the possibility to keep informed about all competitions.
I have worked here for 21 years. During my career here I’ve been to different countries. I taught specialized courses for 2 years in Cent county ≈ (England). I have been present at lessons in Yugoslavian school; where I was very surprised of their absolute democracy. I have taught many Russian systems of education. Our school chooses intelligent teaching Zancova. Our pupils like it for its democracy. Our school got many intelligent teachers who like to teach children (some of them have worked here for more than 40 years!!!)
